Our u13 hurlers kept up their unbeaten start to the league with a great battling win against Ballygiblin in Camden.
Missing several players, all the boys stepped up to put in a great display.
Crosshaven led 2-4 to 1-5 at half time thanks to points from Daithi O'Leary, Milo Twomey, Fionn Barry and Roan Sisk and goals by young Olan McCarthy and Tony Fitzgibbon.
A strong second half display by Crosshaven saw them build on that and it was credit to the massive workrate of the crosshaven backs Harry Lenihan, Dan Maverley, Tadhg Connolly, Luke Cummins, Tony Fitzgibbon and Harry McGrath that they kept a strong Ballygiblin forward line to just a few scores. with points from Oliver Dransfield & Roan Sisk and a penalty by Oliver saw them leading 3-10 to 2-9 approaching injury time when wing back Dan Maverley stormed up the line to get the score of the match off off the sideline.
Final score 3-11 to 2-9
Great performance all round but shout out to Chris Galligan making his comeback after a long layoff with injury and made a big impact and Olan McCarthy who put in a massive shift in corner forward and scored a cracker of a goal.
